Rolling and begging in the kitchen for more food makes every moment more fun. So if you want fun things to happen to you, keep a cat!

At the beginning of autumn last year, the painter from New Orleans, Ida Florek, noticed a stray cat in her yard. The little black cat Salami started coming more and more often after noticing her cat.

The painter said that Salami liked her cat Dodo and they started hanging out more and more often. They hugged each other and it was more than clear that she was coming to see him.

Floreak started giving food to Salami and was overjoyed that the two little creatures were hanging out. She was eager for free meals and hugging. Floreak was happy to finally get the cat’s trust to accept food from her.

After some time, she noticed that Salami’s stomach was growing, and when she picked it up, she noticed that she was pregnant.

“My intention was to be able to take her in to be fixed and vaccinated,” Floreak said. “But before she was comfortable enough for that, she was visibly pregnant.”

Then one-morning Salami came earlier than usual, at five in the morning she scratched at Floreak’s door and waited for her to open it, the cat wanted to give birth there and Floreak received her inside.

She gave birth at about eight or nine o’clock in the morning, and later that night she had two more kittens.

Floreak was too excited about the event because it had never happened before to her. “She is an amazing mother,” said Floreak. “She’s super careful and sweet.”

Salami has found her home forever and now she lives happily with her four kittens and Floreak’s cat with whom she has become best friends.
