There are many studies on the interaction between animals and humans. According to one study, people who talk to their pets have a higher level of intelligence. Some people talk to their pets as if they expect them to talk back.

People sometimes even make up a voice just to speak with their pets or maybe other animals. Of course, all of this is done when nobody is watching because other people wouldn’t understand it.

But, have you ever thought of the possibility that animals can speak to each other? Recently, something like this happened with baby sloths.

Sloths are animals that can usually be found in Central and South America in tropical rain forests. Although their arms are very long, they can’t move quickly like monkeys. They are known for being lazy and move very slow.

Three-toed sloths are known for being the slowest animal in the world. It may look like they are standing still, but actually they are moving really slow. Although they look like monkeys, they are closely related to armadillos and anteaters.

National Geographic has a theory in which they explained why sloths move so slow. It’s because the slow movement keeps predators from seeing them. Sometimes even algae can grow on their bodies which adds additional camouflage.

There is a sloth sanctuary located in Costa Rica. The staff wants other people to know that these animals are really important to the environment. When a baby sloth is left behind in the wild, it can end up at the sanctuary.
