A family was reunited with their dog after two months of missing. The Tennessee family was reunited with their dog who was missing for nearly 54 days after a tornado destroyed their home on March 3rd.

Now, the Johnson family is reunited with their Australian shepherd named Bella. Before the dog went missing, she tried to alert Faith and Eric Johnson that tornado was ravaging Putnam County just a few moments before it demolished their family home.

In a Facebook post, Eric admitted that he and his wife were praying for Bella to come back. However, they were starting to lose hope of ever finding her again.

Few neighbors spotted the dog, but they couldn’t catch her. Johnsons, who were staying in a hotel, visited their neighborhood a few times and left some pieces of clothes so she can remember their scent.

Bella was spotted again on Friday. Then, Sarah Romeyn, who is a friend of the Johnsons, was notified about the missing dog.

Fortunately, Big Fluffy Dog Rescue came to the rescue. They set up trail cameras with motion sensors so they can track Bella down. Several people cornered the dog between two buildings. Romeyn put food out for Bella and she was finally able to capture the dog 4 miles away from her home.

Now, she has returned home. She was so dirty when she was found and needed to take a really long bath.

Faith said that she has broken her ribs while she was trying to protect her children during the storm. Her husband was also injured. Now both of them are recovering.

Although they lost their home, the Johnson family survive the tornado that killed 42 people. However, they are happy now that their dog is finally home.
