Caring for disabled dogs has its own challenges because they require more assistance than other dogs. Although they are disadvantaged, seeing how these dogs enjoy life in spite of their disabilities is really rewarding and powerful.

Several wonderful citizens from Georgia were so happy and glad after helping an abandoned two-legged dog who eventually overcame her challenge.

That dog’s name is Gracie. When she was brought at a veterinarian’s office in Kennesaw, Georgia, she was covered in maggots. She was born with a defect that left her without her two front legs. It must have been really hard for her to get used to the fact that she had only two legs.

The vet has previously worked with a local rescue named Mostly Mutts, so he decided to contact them for help.

The director of the rescue Tammy Turley fell in love with Gracie and decided to adopt her. The Turley family owns one disabled pup and Gracie is the second one. They also have a three-legged dog.

Although Gracie can move around just with her back legs, her family wanted a more suitable way of transportation. They were worried that hopping around may lead to health issues.

Gracie was just a puppy, so she wasn’t a great fit for a wheelchair. However, her parents wanted to find a way for her to be a little more independent.

A 12-year-old volunteer from the Mostly Mutts named Dylan came up with a solution. The answer was to build a mobility chair from Legos, which made it easier to adjust as Gracie continued to grow.

Now, the little pup can walk around fine on her own. Thanks to her new wheelchair, she now enjoys her life as a puppy.

Thanks to the Lego chair, Gracie can play with her siblings and walk around on her own. Although she outgrew her first Lego chair, another one was built for her.

Now that she’s one year old and done growing, she now has a forever chair that isn’t made from Legos. However, the Turley family was thrilled with Dylan’s innovation.
