Have you ever dreamed of being in a room full of baby pandas? Finally, it can become true.

The Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding Research Base specializes in baby pandas and their care. This is a must-visit place if you ever end up in Chengdu. This place might be the most adorable place in the world.

The panda base is open from 7:30 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. However, the best time to visit is in the morning or during feeding time before 10:00 a.m. Also, pandas like cold weather. During summer, they love to stay indoors and avoid the heat.

Pandas usually give birth in August. So, if you want to see panda babies, the best time to visit the center is August or September.

The facility provides interactive activities and people can learn about pandas and their protection. There are also red pandas, black swans, and peacocks in the research center. However, it’s not like a zoo, it doesn’t focus on showing off the animals.

Who could match this level of cuteness? It’s a facility that provides more than daycare, it’s also a nursery. Their main goal is to help grow the panda population.

Giant pandas were on the endangered list, but thanks to this center that is turning around. There were only 1,200 living giant panda bears alive in the ’90s.

Fortunately, people made a major effort to raise awareness about pandas. In 2016, they were taken off the endangered list. According to the latest reports, there are around 2,000 pandas.

However, they are still not out of the clear. They are now on the vulnerable list and still need our help to increase their number.

Unfortunately, humans put their natural habitat at risk. If we don’t protect their habitat, the number of panda’s population might decrease again.

The Chengdu center has been open for over 30 years. At first, they only had 6 pandas. Now, they take care of 83 pandas!

Ideally, the Chinese government will take the steps it needs to so that these giant pandas can be introduced into the wild without fear.
