A woman from Florida ended up in jail after threatening a couple with a taser and trying to steal a puppy which was on sale, the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office confirmed.
Deputies immediately headed to Gretna Drive in Deltona over the weekend after they received several reports of an attempted armed robbery. The person who called 911 said that a woman tried to steal their puppy with a Taser and run away in a blue four-door passenger car.
It didn’t take much time for the deputies to find the vehicle. They immediately contacted the driver who identified as 58-year-old Sally Schweitzer.
Deputies contacted the victims, a couple who was selling 5 Australian shepherd puppies for $1,200 each on Craigslist.
The husband mentioned that Sally contacted the couple through Craiglist and even arranged a time to buy one of the puppies. When Sally and her husband arrived, they spent 90 minutes at the victim’s home before he told her to buy the puppy or leave.

Even though Sally didn’t have any money, she still wanted the puppy. Instead of paying, she pulled a Taser from her purse and threatened the couple. She took the puppy and told the couple to go inside.
According to the police report, Sally activated her Taser and pointed it at the couple. Fortunately, the husband pushed her away.
Thanks to the surveillance cameras, the entire incident was caught on video. Deputies reviewed the footage and confirmed the events that the victims described.
At first, Sally told the deputies that she wanted to buy the puppy, but didn’t have enough money. Later, she admitted that she went to the couple’s home with one goal – to get the puppy without paying. She also apologized for her actions, saying she didn’t think very clearly.
Deputies searched Sally’s vehicle and found her Taser. She was charged with aggravated assault with attempted robbery with a deadly weapon, attempt to commit a felony, and aggravated assault with attempt to commit a felony.
