Meet Munchie, the cutest 7-month-old cat still looks like a kitten. He can’t grow any bigger because he suffers from an extremely rare condition that has been detected in just one other cat.

The kitty was taken into the Wolverhampton veterinary practice in September 2019. It appears that Munchie was abandoned when he was just a month old. The owner of the practice, Emily Tomlinson, believes that the cat was dumped because he has cloudy eyes, but it doesn’t affect his sight.

29-year-old Emily discovered that Munchie suffers from hypoparathyroidism after he passed out on Boxing Day. Then, he received intravenous fluid therapy and spent the next four days at the vet’s office.

Hypoparathyroidism is a very rare condition. Only one other cat in the world has been diagnosed with the same condition, so there is not much information about it. However, Emily is hoping that Munchie will have a normal life span just like other cats.

Munchie acts like a normal kitten but weighs only 1.7kg. Unfortunately, he can’t jump like a normal cat because he lacks calcium and Vitamin D. Emily spent £2,500 on Munchie’s vet bills, but she said it was all worth it. She wants to ensure that the little kitten lives ‘the best life possible’.

The 29-year-old admitted it hasn’t been easy for her to look after Munchie. However, she somehow managed to do it. At first, she fed him up to 8 times a day, but now she feeds him just 4 times a day. Munchie looks like a kitten and he eats like one as well.

Now, Munchie lives with Emily and her horse, a Romanian rescue dog, and two other cats. He loves his new life and loves to play with his other siblings.
