It’s safe to say that the coronavirus disease has really changed the entire world. The contagious disease turned the lives of children and people upside down as health systems collapse, borders close, and schools and businesses are currently shut down.

There are over 2 million coronavirus cases in the world, but 710,021 of the people are located in the United States. The disease can spread when an infected person coughs, sneezes, or exhales. In order to stop the virus from spreading, you should always wash your hands and don’t touch your mouth, nose or eyes.

Over 154,000 people have died so far from COVID 19. The death toll in the U.S. is 37,158.

Unfortunately, one dog from New Jersey lost her owners after they died from coronavirus complications. Now, she needs a new home.

When Che-Che was brought to the Monmouth County SPCA, an animal shelter in Eatontown, she was scared to death. Her whole body was shaking.

When she arrived at the shelter, the staff kept the dog in isolation as a precaution. Later, they wore full PPE and gave her a warm bath.

Staff from the shelter said they want to honor her family and find the perfect home for Che-Che. There are already many potential adopters who are calling just for her. They want to find her a loving home where she can live in peace.

Protocols have changed due to the coronavirus pandemic. However, their work isn’t stopped and they are taking care of many animals who wait for forever homes.

Now that people have to stay at home, many of them decided to foster or adopt an animal, mostly dogs. They are looking for a companion and a source of joy during these hard times. Help is available for those who can’t financially take care of the pets.
