Meet Daisy, a beagle who lives with her owner Jane Whitton and two little kittens named Dexter and Fletcher. This big family lives in Staplehurst, Kent.
Whitton recently brought the two 9-week-old kittens home and the 1-year-old dog immediately fell in love with them. At first, Daisy acted like their friend and played with them. However, after spending several days with the kittens, she became their surrogate mother and decided to raise the little kittens as her own.
Whitton noted that when she brought the kittens at home, Daisy was really excited and was jumping around her new friends. Although she grew up with cats, living with kittens is an entirely new thing for her.
The love is mutual because Dexter and Fletcher love Daisy as much as she loves them. The connection between them is so strong and powerful that Daisy’s body even began producing milk to nurse the kittens. They believe Daisy is their real mom.

When Whitton saw that, she couldn’t believe her eyes. She said that Daisy has never given birth in her life. However, that doesn’t mean that she can’t be a good mother.
Daisy is very proud of her maternal instincts that she never got the chance to use before. She is always there for Dexter and Fletcher to protect. She even grooms and bathes them. Daisy is a really good mother who does everything to make sure that her babies are happy and safe.
Despite being their surrogate mom, the trio became best friends as well. They love to spend their time together, playing and running around.
If another dog goes near her babies, Daisy becomes very protective. She will never allow for something to happen to her babies, even though she didn’t give them birth.
