People are still not aware of all the damage they cause to the wildlife and the incredible creatures living in the waters with their careless behavior.

Recently, a bottlenose dolphin found itself in a really tough situation. The poor creature was wrapped around a fishing line and a hook was stuck into his body.

Unfortunately, the dolphin couldn’t get out of the painful situation on her own. Fortunately, there was a diver nearby and the creature asked him for help.

When Keller Laros went diving on the coast in Hawaii that night, he didn’t know that he would become a hero for the dolphin who had a hard time swimming and was in pain. Fortunately, he was well-equipped and signaled the poor and unlucky creature to come closer.

When she came close to Laros, she even showed him where the hook is. The diver decided to remove the hook just with his hands, Although he removed the hook, the line remained.

The dolphin stayed close by as Laros was reaching for a pair of scissors. As soon as he cut the line free, the dolphin went away into the ocean’s abyss.

Also, there was another diver with Laros named Martina Wing who managed to catch the entire rescue mission on tape. You can watch the video of the rescue mission below.

Laros and his wife are the co-founders of the Manta Pacific Research Foundation, a manta ray protection group. He noted that it’s not the first time that he rescued an animal while he was diving. In fact, he has rescued so many animals from hooks and entanglements, but just one dolphin. He even once tried to rescue a shark. Unfortunately, he didn’t succeed.

Untangling ocean life is really dangerous, even for qualified individuals. However, it’s very easy when animals ask for help on their own.
