A loyal pet dog was sitting on a bridge for 4 days, waiting for his owner who committed suicide to come back. Even though the dog witnessed that his owner took his own life, it was still waiting for him at the Yangtze Bridge in Wuhan to come back.

A resident from Wuhan whose surname is Xu took pictures of the faithful dog. He later shared the pictures on social media and touched the hearts of many people.

Xu tried to pick up the dog on Friday, but the pooch got scared and ran away. When Du Fan, the director of Wuhan Small Animal Protection Association, came across Xu’s post, he started searching for the animal together with other volunteers.

In a press release, Du noted that the pooch followed its owner to the bridge on May 30. He asked the bridge officers to check the surveillance footage in order to find out what happened, but it was really dark and hard to see anything on the video. But, one thing was clear enough: the owner jumped right away.

Du confirmed that the volunteers are now searching for the animal. He also urged people to come forward if they have some useful information about the dog. He is hoping that the dog will have a new owner.

Unfortunately, the dog is still missing and volunteers are continuing their search for the animal. Many people on social media were brought to tears because of the dog’s loyalty and devotion.
