One of the coolest jobs in the world has to be a wildlife photographer. They have the opportunity to capture amazing pictures of animals and peek into their kingdom. Although lots of people enjoy wildlife pictures, not everyone likes to take those pictures. It’s difficult to take a picture of a moving animal, but the end result can be fascinating.

Recently, Jean-Francois Largot, a wildlife photographer, visited Kenya’s Masai Mara game preserve in Africa. He witnessed something incredible.

A lion baby had fallen over the edge of a cliff when his mom wasn’t looking. Fortunately, the cub was trapped and didn’t fall to the bottom of the cliff.

The cub was scared and started crying. When his mom and other lionesses saw him, they rushed to see what happened. They tried to help him, but it was too dangerous. However, the mom didn’t want to leave her baby and she acted fast to save the little cub.

The rescue mission was caught on video. The mom carefully goes down the cliff. She used her claws to grasp the crumbling cliff as she went down. Right about when her baby was about to fall off the cliff, she managed to catch him with her jaw and went back to the top.

When the mom went back to the top, she put her baby down and licked his forehead in order to let him know he is safe. Let’s just hope that the little cub won’t do something likes this again.

When the mother’s instinct kicks in, nothing can stand in her way. The bond between a mom and her baby is stronger than anything. The mom put her life at risk in order to save her baby. Everything is good, thanks to the motherly love!
