Adopting animals isn’t just to help animals, they are the joys that save our lives instead.

In 2015, Scott Perry and his then-girlfriend adopted a cat from Best Friends Animal Society Los Angeles. The two-year-old cat Olivia was very shy and she spent most of her time hiding.

When Scott’s girlfriend moves out she came out of her shell and has spent all her time by his side!

He told people that he felt so connected with her during quarantine, and he’s so grateful to have her in his life and he wants to do something amazing to raise money for Best Friends Animal Society Los Angeles who merged them.

The pair became even closer over the next five years, so he decided to propose Olivia. He realized that she’s the one and she helped him to stay normal during the lockdown, and when he popped the question, the rescued cat meowed back, which her human took as a ‘yes.’

They will be getting “married” on Saturday, May 23rd on Instagram Live. Perry and Olive have a registry on Zola and the “couple” has also created a wedding website where fans could leave a message for the couple and donate money to Best Friends. They aspire to raise $5,000 for the shelter.

Not just that, Perry has shared some of the cute photos of the feline in her wedding attire trials that have captured the attention of the users on Instagram, and he challenges everyone to donate and adopt from local shelters, and commit to their pet on May 23.
