A man was walking on a sidewalk when he noticed something unusual. He saw a newborn animal that was on the verge of death, lying near the sidewalk. The incident happened in Tampa, Florida.
Jeff Longo couldn’t leave the poor animal to die, so he decided to take it with him and nurse it back to health. The poor animal didn’t have any chances for survival and he was big as Longo’s pinky finger.
Longo thought that the newborn animal was a squirrel but he wasn’t really sure. Therefore, he decided to take a picture of the animal and share it on Reddit. But, things didn’t happen as he expected.
Instead of people helping him, they told him that the poor animal will die. Despite the bad comments, Longo wasn’t discouraged and was motivated even more to save the newborn animal.

Later, he discovered that the animal is a flying squirrel and gave her the name Biscuits. Londo mixed puppy formula with some heavy cream to feed the squirrel and nurse her back to health. He kept her in his shirt pocket and fed her with a bottle for the next 3 months.
Even though the odds were against them, Biscuits survived, thanks to Longo. When the squirrel grew up and was able to move on her own, she started roaming around the house freely. Once, Longo even found her in the bathtub!
Longo wasn’t the only one who fell in love with Biscuits, even the family dogs love taking care of her too! The squirrel loves playing with the family dogs and roaming around the house.
Since Biscuits got used to being around humans, she won’t be able to survive in the wild now. However, she loves her new family and her loving home!
If it wasn’t for Longo, Biscuits would have never survived on her own. Now, she’s a healthy squirrel and lives a happy life with her family.
