This story is about a neglected and abused dog. Even though his owner beat him and even tape his muzzle, the dog finally got a second chance to start for a better life.
It appears that the owners hated the dog very much due to the fact that they left him without any food or water for days. Like this torture wasn’t enough, they also beat the dog and taped his muzzle.
When the neighbors witnessed this cruel act, they decided to alert the authorities many times. Once they realized that the authorities won’t help the poor dog, they decided to take the matter in their hands. One day, they broke into their neighbor’s yard and they took the dog.

The poor animal was scared and helpless. He didn’t understand why his owners treated him in the way they did. Unbelievably, the dog didn’t hate his owners. Even though they abused him for many years, he was hoping that they will show him love someday.
Unfortunately, that didn’t happen and the dog lost his will to live. Whenever someone approached the dog, he would start barking hysterically.
The neighbors knew that if the dog ends up in a shelter, he would certainly be euthanized. However, they didn’t want that to happen.
Once the neighbors rescued the dog, he became calm again and he was aware that better days were coming.
They also gave the dog a new name – Alfie. The once-neglected dog was soon placed with a new loving family.
For the first time in his life, this dog got the chance to run freely in his new yard. He would never have to worry about his muzzle taped ever again!
Thanks to his caring neighbors, Alfie was given a second chance on life and he can now put his heartbreaking past behind him.
