Meet Angel, the dog who was starved on purpose and on the verge of death. Even her organs started shutting down and every bone was showing on her body. Fortunately, volunteers from Rescue From The Hart saved her just in time.
Her face shows what she feels: pain, weakness, fear, and sadness. She’s been unloved, mistreated and neglected for a long time. Although she’s been really broken down, everything was going to change, thanks to her rescuers, who are kind and loving people.

Angel has been in a stage of starvation and survival was uncertain. Fortunately, the people who took her in knew what to do. They gave her small amounts of food multiple times a day. They also gave her antibiotics, IV nutrition, and medicine for pain.
The dog who was on the brink of death started healing. Each day, her health improved. Angel was much happier after she noticed she is now loved and everything will be okay. She even regained her strength and was able to stand up on her own. How incredible is that?
With a steady diet and proper medical care, Angel began gaining weight and she wasn’t weak anymore. She started looking healthier than before and even made friends at her foster home.
What makes Angel’s story even better is the following news: she found a new forever home with a loving family!
Many dogs end up like Angel, but not all of them share the same fate as her. Some are left to die without any food or water, while others are lucky enough to be saved.
