Many people own dogs and would do everything for them. But, some dog owners are irresponsible so they must be warned every year not to leave their pets in vehicles during summer. However, they continue to make the same mistake over and over again.
Recently, something similar happened in Clearwater, Florida. Police were called to intervene at the scene. They found a dog barking for help inside a locked vehicle on a very hot summer day.
It appears that the owners who left the dog inside the car didn’t bother to open a window or leave any water. They were so irresponsible for leaving their dog in a life-threatening situation while they were relaxing on the beach.
In a Facebook post, the police shared some details about the unfortunate incident. They mentioned that the temperature inside the car was more than 100 degrees. The police officers were forced to break a window in order to save the dog, who was so grateful and drank water from the kindly officer’s bottle. They also dabbed the dog with water in order to cool it down.

Although the local prosecutor is aware of this case, it’s unknown whether any charges will be filed. But, social media users are enraged because of the possibility that this poor dog will be returned to its owner. One person commented that some people don’t deserve to have pets or their unconditional love, while others are worried that the dog will be given back to its owners.
However, there is no excuse to leave your pet inside a sweltering car. After all, animals have feelings just like humans.
Social media users praised the officers for their successful rescue and suggested that they should adopt the dog. We are glad that these officers were compassionate enough and managed to save the dog’s life!
Every pet owner should remember not to leave pets alone inside a vehicle, especially during summer!
