Historically, dogs were stolen just to be sold to laboratories for medical research. This practice hasn’t ended yet. It’s still ongoing in many countries around the world, mostly in South East Asia, where dogs are even cooked as food.

But, when the American government introduced the Animal Welfare Acto of 1966, this motive for stealing dogs has been declined. But, dogs are still stolen just to extort money from their owners or even sold to other people.

When dog owners found out that their furry companions are missing, they are heartbroken. They wonder if the dog ran away and or if it’s hurt or dead somewhere.

Then, they put the puppy into the vehicle and drive away.
