Domestic violence happens way more than we think. More than 10 million people experience it just in the United States every year. Unfortunately, victims feel insecure and are afraid to report abuse. Sometimes they even hide it from friends and family.
Recently, a woman shared her friend’s story and spoke about the family dog who saved them from the abuser.
The friend was putting up with her boyfriend’s violent behavior for a long time. However, when she finally got the courage to leave him, things didn’t turn as she expected.
While he was beating her, she somehow got away from him and drove a short distance to her friend’s house to be safe. However, the boyfriend followed her, broke the glass on the door, and unlocked it from the inside.

Although both friends wanted to stand against him, they couldn’t. The abuser cornered both of them and hit them with his fists.
Both women were feeling helpless and scared. They also lost all the hope of getting away from the abuser until they heard a smash.
The other woman’s family dog Camie came to the rescue after he sensed that his mom is in danger! The dog is usually sweet and loves to play with the neighborhood kids. However, she became a different animal when she saw the abuser. Although she was bleeding from the cuts she got from the glass, she didn’t care. The dog was really mad and got on top of the abuser.
Camie stopped the crazy man from hurting the women any further. While she was fighting him, the woman’s dad came home. The lunatic tried to run away, but Camie cornered him. The dad noticed something was wrong, so he came with a gun in his hand.
Then, the police arrived and arrested the abuser immediately. It appears that this wasn’t his first time to assault someone, so he was put behind bars and hopefully will stay there for a long time.
The woman confirmed that both of them are healed as well as the dog.
Pit Bulls usually are described as evil dogs. However, Camie proved that even this breed can be a human’s best friend. Dogs are loyal creatures and their courage can’t be compared to anything.
