In 2019, 66-year-old Nancy Bucciarelli of New Hampshire was arrested after being accused of drowning her 11-year-old Golden Retriever, Bailey. It is reported that she took the dog to Lake Naticook on June 8, 2019, and according to witnesses, she forcibly pushed the older dog into the lake and watched him slowly drown.
Observers said she pushed the dog into the water to a depth of about 3 meters. After Bailey was in the lake, witnesses claimed that Bucciarelli was just standing over the animal and watching her dog fight for her life. The puppy reportedly swam until it was exhausted and drowned.
A passerby who witnessed the heinous act tried to save the puppy from the shallow water, but it was too late to arrive. According to the Daily Mail, Bucciarelli was charged with animal cruelty. Witnesses called police at the scene and officers launched an emergency investigation.
After checking her Facebook profile, the woman seemed to have a very close relationship with her dog. In fact, there were many photos of the puppy. But as soon as the terrible news of the horrific event appeared, Bucciarelli’s profile was bombarded with tons of angry comments.
