Rubble, the world’s oldest cat has recently died at the age of 31 and his owner is heartbroken.

Michele Heritage got the fluffy Maine Coon in May 1988. He was apart of a litter cat that her sister’s friend had. Michele just left home, so she thought getting a kitten was a great idea to beat loneliness and the duo became inseparable ever since.

Rubble became the oldest feline in the world after celebrating his 31st birthday, which is the equivalent to 150 in human years.

The geriatric cat didn’t have any health problems, but he died from old age. Rubble became very thin at the end. His owner said that one day he went across the road and never came back. Unfortunately, the cat died before turning 32.

Michele never had any kids, but she pampered her Maine Coon as a child. She said that he was a great companion and she was grateful to live with him for such a long time.

When Rubble turned 31, he beat the oldest living cat record of Scooter, a Siamese Texas. He managed to get in the Guinness Book of World Records before he died in 2016.

However, the oldest cat of all time is a cat named Creme Puff who died at the age of 38. He was born in 1967and passed away in 2005.

Michele never went down the road to the Guinness Book of Records. She was never interested in setting up a record.

Last Christmas, Rubble stopped eating and only drank water. As a result, he became thin and weak. So, Michele knew those were his last days.

One day, Rubble went out and never came back. It seemed like he went off to die just like other cats do.

Michelle also had another cat called Meg. Unfortunately, she passed away at 25.
