A dog was recently shot several times in the driveway of his owner’s home. According to the neighbors, the 8-year-old pit bull wasn’t aggressive at all and didn’t attack anyone. When Paulette Creek found out that her dog was killed, she was devastated.

On June 20, Merlin and her other pit bull Taz managed to escape the front door of their home. One of the neighbors saw the pit bulls and tried to put them back into Paulette ’s fenced backyard. According to witnesses, another neighbor and his girlfriend also came outside.

When the woman stepped on Paulette’s property and saw Merlin, she got scared and started screaming. Then, she jumped onto the hood of a nearby car.

According to the neighbors, her boyfriend felt the need to protect her from the dog, so he pulled out a gun and shot Merlin several times.

Unfortunately, the dog jumped into the backyard and died. Neighbors confirmed that the bullets were lodged in Merlin’s rear flank.

At the time of the incident, Paulette was at work. As soon as the shooting happened, she immediately rushed home. She was shocked to see her dog killed. She asked the neighbors what happened and who shot her dog.

Even though there are witnesses, the man who shot Merlin still hasn’t been charged. The Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office is currently reviewing the case. Hopefully, they will put the killed behind in jail, where he belongs!

Pit bulls are often seen as violent and aggressive dogs. However, that is not true at all. Any dog can become violent due to neglect, abuse, irresponsible owner, or even bad breeding.

Paulette wants justice for her dog. According to Mike, one of the neighbors, there was no reason to shot Merlin.
