There are many reasons why dogs are called man’s best friend. Just take a look at this cute friendship between 3-year-old Peyton and his furry dog companion.
The toddler got into a fight with his sister, so his mother Jillian Marie Smith decided to send him to ‘time-out’.
Jillian says she gave Peyton to choose between going to his room, or have a time out.
Instead of going to his room, the little boy decided to go over to his usual time-out spot. He even placed his head against the wall as a way to take his punishment.

When his four-legged friend Dash saw that little Peyton was serving his time alone, the dog decided to join him in solidarity. It was so cute, even Peyton wrapped his arm around his best buddy.
Although Peyton was punished for his naughty behavior, his mum couldn’t help but take a picture of the heart-warming moment and share it on Facebook. This is a friendship goal!
Since Jillian posted the picture on social media, it was shared more than 43,000 times. The mum admitted that she couldn’t stay mad at her child for a long time. Dash has a major impact on the family, making their life easier, mostly for Peyton.
Luckily, Jillian decided to end the time-out so Peyton and Dash could go back to their everyday routine of playing and having fun. The unstoppable pair really enjoys each other’s company.
Peyton is a typical three-year-old kid, so this probably won’t be the last time that he was punished. We are sure that he will get punished again, but his buddy Dash will probably be by his side and help him serve the punishment again. Dash will always stand by Peyton’s side when things get a little tough.
Dogs really are the best friends that people can ask for.
