We all have some important things to do, even dogs. Unlike dogs, if we fall asleep during something important, it won’t be cute. But, if a little police dog does it, it’s absolutely adorable.

In Bristol, Rhode Island, the police force decided to add K-9s. These dogs are also known as “comfort dogs” who help people deal with stress, PTSD, anxiety, and other emotions. K-9s helo police officers and public victims. Their work is very important.

These comforting dogs do community outreach and visit places where people suffer from anxiety such as nursing homes, hospitals, schools, veteran centers, etc.

In Rhode Island, K-9 officer Brody was added to the police force.

School Patrol Officer Keith Medeiros introduced Brody to the community. He also noted how excited they were for the K9 to meet the students in the Bristol-Warren Regional School District.

Brody’s swearing in-ceremony was live streamed on Facebook.

Brody looked really cute during the ceremony. Instead of being excited like the people around him, he fell asleep and wasn’t aware of what was going on around him.

Despite the fact that Brody slept through his swearing-in ceremony, Police Chief Kevin Lynch is very happy because Brody joined the team. He’s very optimistic about the work that the dog will be doing with nursing home residents and local students.

Although little Brody didn’t hear the accolades because he was fell asleep, his ceremony was really entertaining and adorable to watch.

Nonetheless, police officers of Bristol, Rhode Island are very excited for their very first comfort K-9 to go out and help crime witnesses during police investigations.

Comfort dogs can also help witnesses to remember what actually happened.
