There are many unusual friendships between animals of different species in the world. We have previously reported about an adorable friendship between a duck and a dog and another one between a stray cat and a lynx. After all, everyone needs a best friend in life. The friendship that we are going to talk about today is so uncommon, it even surprised us.

Meet Breeze, the cutest little pony! He was taken at Mare and Foal Sanctuary, a charity founded in 1988 in Devon, England. The charity’s main goal is to rescue and provide care to horses and ponies in need.

It’s still unknown what happened to the pony’s mother, but it’s believed that she abandoned him. Unfortunately, the poor little guy was just a few days old when he was found walking around on his own.

Breezy was desperately searching for his mother in Dartmoor National Park. Thankfully, someone alerted the Mare and Foal Sanctuary and when they arrived, the pony collapsed in their arms from dehydration.

When he was taken to the sanctuary, the staff gave him food and water. They also gave him a teddy bear named Button in order to comfort him. Syra Bowden, CEO at The Mare and Foal Sanctuary, released a statement in which she said that they always give stuffed animals to foals. In some way, stuffed animals can provide comfort.

Now, Breeze can get a good night’s sleep and get through a rough time, thanks to Button.

The staff at the sanctuary were aware that the little pony misses his mother. Fortunately, they came up with the idea to give him a stuffed animal, which makes up for the lack of a mother’s touch. From the moment Breezey received the teddy bear, he was able to get a good night’s sleep.
