Animals are usually abused behind closed doors and without any witnesses. Sometimes, animal abusers are so bold they don’t even care when someone sees them while they are committing a crime, even the police.

The police were called when a dog abused, but they didn’t know what to expect when they arrived at the scene.

Concerned citizens call Turlock Police Officers to report animal abuse almost every day. So, when they received a call while out on patrol of a dog being abused, they immediately responded to the call.

According to one of the witnesses, a man was abusing his own dog and didn’t want to stop. The officers also became witnesses of the abuse.

When they arrived on the scene, they saw that Sol Brua was hitting his Siberian husky with his skateboard.

Like the hitting wasn’t enough, Brua then decided to pick the dog up and threw him in the air, allowing him to hit the ground.

The officers immediately went to check the poor animal only to find out that the husky wasn’t moving. They immediately arrested Brua for animal cruelty. In the meantime, the dog was taken to the Turlock Animal Shelter. Luckily, he fully recovered from his ordeal with his former owner.

The court might ban Brua from owning or being around any animal for up to 5 years.

The Turlock Police Department’s mission is to serve both residents and animals. This department also operates the Turlock Animal Services, which promotes the safety and health of the animals in the area.

Thousands of animals are abused every day in the United States. Unfortunately, many cases of animal abuse aren’t reported. Even though abuse is a growing problem, there are some steps to prevent it.

The first thing to do is to report any case of animal abuse. If you notice any wounds on an animal or an emaciated appearance, you should contact a local animal control service.
